Permaculture Design Certificate 2024
Hello everybody!
Yes, I know, I haven’t been very present on this blog lately, and now is when everything blooms and bears fruit in the garden. I’d have a thousand and one tips to write about.
But I bring good news about the future of this website and my professional career.
I wasn’t planning to write anything on the blog because I’m going to be very busy these months, but today I felt the need to share this with you.
What is permaculture?
Permaculture is an approach to land management and settlement design that adopts arrangements observed in thriving natural ecosystems. It includes a set of design principles derived from whole systems thinking. It applies these principles in fields such as regenerative agriculture, urbanism, nature restoration and community resilience.
A summer full of adventures
Earlier this year, I did a post where I shared my idea of getting a Permaculture Design Certificate to boost my career. Well, due to life circumstances, I wasn’t very successful in finding a course that suited my needs and current situation, but I finally found one!
I will spend two weeks in Asturias (Spain) at the El Mandala centre, where I will learn the basic principles of permaculture and get my certificate, which will allow me to be recognized within the permaculture movement.
Moreover, it will not only be a theoretical course; we will do a lot of practical activities in a beautiful mountain location.
About the Permaculture Design Certificate
A Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) is a credential earned by completing a comprehensive educational programme on the principles and practices of permaculture design. Permaculture, short for ‘permanent agriculture’ or ‘permanent culture’, is an ecological and holistic approach to designing sustainable systems that mimic natural ecosystems while meeting human needs. The PDC course covers a wide range of topics, such as sustainable agriculture, water management, renewable energy, natural building, community design and much more.
